My name is Aron and I run sun and sage ethical vegan clothing. It links to supporting animals here, especially the street animals in Bali making sure that I can give them medication and save them from a poor life. My idea is to bring everything full circle. When somebody buys a product to know firstly how the products made and that they are made in an ethical way and second it also helps to rescue animal in Bali.

I am not all about veganism. I try to live so that everything I do leaves a positive impact on the planet. From my day job to what I do in my spare time. In my day job working with charities to give a little bit back to Bali. Making sure that children have access to education, especially children from poor background. I don’t want them to get stuck on that cycle.

Coming to Bali was the big eye-opener for me where I was able to change how I live a little bit with my work and my spare time to try to become a better person for the animals and the planet.

I’m originally from Switzerland. That’s where I grew up and study law. Then I moved to the Netherlands to do my masters in international law. I always love traveling. I actually had lived in few different countries. I was living in UK, Denmark, US, and now here I am in Bali.

Some years ago, it was such a struggle for me to get up in the morning to go to the office. I felt that my work was not purposeful. It didn’t feel like fulfilling to me at all. It was just very hard to do something that’s not in line with my values. I felt like I was wasting my time. That’s when I sorted this inner process of trying to come up with ideas on what I do that would make me feel happier and in line more with my truth and my purpose.

So, I started TheFairTribe. Products that are based on ethical production or fair trade. Meaning all employees or all humans that are involved in the supply chain or in the production of making products are being paid fairly, in a safe environments, and not working overtime.

I was born in Kentucky in the United States. Growing up was great there. I think it’s one of the best places to raise a family. I have really good memories from home.

I thought the key to happiness was to work your butt off academically and just study. In my society I was told to work hard and you will be successful. I took that too seriously and by the time I graduated with my bachelor I burned out and needed a break. So I decided to live the US to seek something new.

I went to spain and lived ther for two years. I loved being outside my comfort zone and just experiencing a new culture. Just being in Spain I could not just walk to Walmart and buy easy mac, ramen noodles or the instant processed food. That’s when I started to cook more and discovered food.

During my travel, I met people who influenced me to eat healthier food. I was more aware of plant-based and Bali is such a hub of vegan food. That’s one of the reason why I came here.

I’m Katy, I’m from Jersey, an Island by france, It’s part of the UK and it is pretty small. I have been working in a food industry as a chef for nine years already. I have won awards in the Uk for the British Heart Foundation for being an ambassador for helping people a lot with getting better, fitter, healthier.

I jumped into being just because of my little brother. He has diabetes and I used to look after him a lot. I was trying to make him healthy alternatives. From experiencing on creating healthy , I gained a lot of knowledge. So I was just trying to teach myself as I go and then I want to make a shop where everybody could come and eat that kind of healthy food.

I want to open a plant-based café similar what I did back at home but a bit different. It would be using local seasonal organic produce. Using that local Balinese people offer like using local Jamu Juices and just trying to incorporate everything.

I’m born in Finland. I moved around when I was kids due to father’s job. I majored in international relations and peace and conflict research. After having through my career in human rights. I moved to China, because I had a love for China.

It was good there. But when I was 30, I burnt out. I had a 30s crisis. I was quite depressed. My children and I were constantly sick with upper respiratory tract infection due to the pollution in Shanghai. So, My goal was to just get healthy again. I realized that we had so much poisonous residue in our body. I ended up meditating mainly for 6 months trying to find an answer. Eventually I found an answer which was that my purpose in life is to facilitate people’s path to healing. So I have to take care of myself first and studied a lot of studies.

Eventually, I opened living food lab in Bali. We offer high quality food. We have an excellent selection of healthy raw or cooked dishes. Our team has been trained to be very understanding of people with dietary requirements for health or ethical purpose.
