I’m born and raised in Africa. I studied product design but I have a big interest in photography and videography. I moved to London five years ago to follow job opportunities. I shot for magazine and a lot of other things, making up my job as a photographer and I became really passionate towards it.

To me photography is like helping people in someway. I believe that people are pretty as they are. I want to show the people we don’t need fake or artificial stuff to make us proud of our body or ourselves. I want to give them the confident they deserve because they already pretty as they are.

Recently I would say my style is moving towards more real life photography. Even if I shoot swimwear I want my picture to look more real. When the model were posing too much I often would say ‘no don’t pose’. I just want when people see my picture they feel like it’s a normal life. That’s why I’m moving to analog picture more and more.

I was born in ex-Ukraine. It was USSR before Russia. It was in 1987. I was born in the territory of Ukraine so I can speak Ukrainian language and Russian Language. I have lived there till I was thirty years old. Then I moved to Thailand three years ago and somehow I ended here in Bali. I think Bali chose me to be here.

I have experienced a lot of things with money and relationships. Here I met a lot of people who helped me to understand something inside of me. Some bad things about me, the person I was. Being in Bali helped me to understand that and accept who I am.

So for now, I’m more artistic than before. I am an artistic photographer. I spent a lot of energy in different ways and styles but not specific into one small direction. I know how to make artistic photos. To make creative photos with nice compositions. I combine a lot of styles. I also like to paint, climb, and drive around the islands.

My name is Kim Laros. I am from the Netherlands. I am here in Bali since last September. I have my own business called laroslab. I am a photographer and I create social media content, especially for companies in Holland. There is a new business coming and that is all about fashion.

I’m a creative person, I love to create things. I love to make pictures and show people through my eyes to my pictures. Pictures how the world looks like and Bali is specially perfect for that. The nature here is beautiful, the light is beautiful, and I show people the way I see Bali through my lenses. With photography I can create many things.

I actually started my career as a hairdresser in a hair salons. Because in the past I saw that hair salons had trouble with social media. I then combined those two things I am passionate about. Now I help them with creating and writing their contents. I can do that from everywhere in the world and I decide to do it in Bali.
