Photography is never about what camera we use or what kind of technique or skill we have.
It’s all about memories. Photography should be seen as a time-machine – how we can look at and bring us the feeling back as where we were and the reason why we did such way.
My dad is the real photographer. He is surely an amateur.
For him, the biggest invention is a digital camera. He could go out without it.
He takes photo of everything he sees in daily basis from what he eat, what he sees differently from yesterday or even what we look like.
He journals them every night for the last decade. I am no kidding.
He is one person I met in life who is dedicated his life for that.
I remember what he said when I was a kid. If the house were burn down, we must save our family photo album at the first priority.
I guess I am who I am today because of him. I see memories are everything we live for.
There is saying “Collect Memories Not Things”.
I love my marriage, my kids and my family. They are my everything. I feel I am home wherever with them. I learn to appreciate the little details about memory. Being in busy life, I appreciate and understand better the meaning of the quote.
That’s why sometimes I refer family as my school because where I learn to appreciate the time I don’t have with them and make the most of it to collect memories.
This is my story.
